 Fit Fitness into Your Day

You know that exercise is good for you—but are you getting enough?

Health experts recommend that adults get at least 150 minutes (2 hours and 30 minutes) a week of moderate-intensity physical activity.1

That translates into 30 minutes of physical activity, five days a week. And it’s okay to accumulate it in 10-minute segments.

Try these easy ways to fit fitness into your day:

  • Do everyday activities. Use the stairs instead of the elevator. Park in the farthest parking space. Get up to change the channel. Vacuum and dust. Yes, they all count!
  • Walk and talk. Invite a friend, neighbor or your kids for a brisk walk and some interesting conversation.
  • Dance to the music. A fun way to unwind! Salsa, swing, tango or Zumba® (Latin-inspired fitness dancing). Take a class, rent a video or do your own thing in the family room.
